Bannockburn, are the group formed by Ted Christopher initially to play for 20,000 of the “Tartan Army” at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow, before Scotland games.
They have gone from strength to strength since then, and are seasoned travellers who go all over the world, playing their wonderful music. Ted chose the name “Bannockburn” as it is a word that instantly gives a sense of pride and identity to all Scots worldwide.
They also play on a regular basis in Azerbaijan where the band has adopted an orphanage in Baku. In that country they are jokingly referred to as the Caledonian Society's resident band. Ted and fiddler Davie Sinclair have been awarded honorary membership of The Baku Caledonian Society. All booking enquiries for both Ted Christopher and Bannockburn Here
